Jeffrey Harding - Chairman
Mr. Harding's experience is in the renewable energy sector. From 1995-2005, he was Managing Director of Pacific Hydro Limited, Australia's largest renewable energy developer, with wind and hydro energy projects in Australia, Asia, and Chile. He oversaw the business' international expansion, with market capitalization growth from A$5 million to A$750 million and profit increases after tax from 1996 to 2005, when Pacific Hydro was sold to IFM Renewable Energy.
Mr. Harding has degrees in Civil Engineering and Economics and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a non-executive director of the ASX listed Carnegie Wave Energy Limited. He resides in both Europe and Australia.
Brendan Dow - Managing Director
Mr. Dow was appointed CEO in June 2005, joining the Board as Managing Director in January 2007. He is responsible for the development and execution of the Company's strategic plan, focusing on commercialisation of our technology. Prior to joining Ceramic Fuel Cells, he was Managing Director of the Australian subsidiary of two German global electrical component manufacturers. He was responsible for operations across Australia and New Zealand, as well as establishing and managing Greenfield manufacturing operations in Malaysia and sales and marketing across South East Asia.
From 1992-1996, Mr. Dow was a Regional Manager within a multi-national electrical equipment company, and from 1989 to 1992, he worked as Production Manager in London for a multinational in FMCG. Mr. Dow completed his undergraduate degree at Swinburne University Australia in Manufacturing Engineering (Honours) and an MBA at Mt Eliza Business School (University of Melbourne).
John Dempsey - Non-Executive Director
Mr. Dempsey has been a Ceramic Fuel Cells director since June 2002. He has been a qualified Accountant since 1974, working in public practice, commerce and the Queensland rural sector. Previous appointments have included deputy Mayor of the City of Cairns, member of the Queensland Sugar Industry Tribunal, and Director/Partner in a Cairns public accountancy practice. Until recently, he conducted a public accountancy practice in Brisbane. Mr Dempsey is Chairman of Queensland energy utility Energex Limited. He is a Non-Executive Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Society Australia-Queensland (a not-for-profit organisation).
Robert Kennett - Non-Executive Director
Mr. Robert (Bob) Kennett is the company's first Non-Executive Director based in the United Kingdom, reflecting Ceramic Fuel Cells' focus on the European market. His appointment followed The Company's listing on the London Stock Exchange AIM market in March 2006. Mr. Kennett has spent his career in the energy sector, focusing on Combined Heat and Power and Renewables. He was Managing Director of Powergen Combined Heat and Power Ltd for 12 years and Chairman of Powergen Renewables Ltd. He is currently a consultant advising financiers and investors on business opportunities in the UK Combined Heat and Power and Renewable Energy markets. Mr. Kennett is a board member of the Combined Heat and Power Association and Chairman of the CHPA Micro Forum. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and also a board member of the Power Industries Division of the Institution.
Dr. Peter Binks - Non-Executive Director
Dr. Binks has had a successful career with McKinsey & Company, BHP, Telstra, and Nanotechnology Victoria Ltd. He was previously CEO of NanoVentures Australia Ltd, a company set up to attract funding and commercialise outcomes from Nanotechnology Victoria. He has been CEO at the General Sir John Monash Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation providing postgraduate scholarships to Australians, since 2009. After completing a science degree at the University of Tasmania (Hons) majoring in Physics, Dr. Binks attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. He completed his doctoral thesis in Theoretical Physics. Other than the CFCL Board, his only directorship is the General Sir John Monash Foundation. He also sits on the Scientific Advisor Board for the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO). Dr. Binks joined the Board in May 2009.
Roy Rose - Non-Executive Director
Mr. Rose has 30 years' experience in the paint, chemicals, fertiliser, and medical products industries and brings to Ceramic Fuel Cells strong skills in technology and innovation. This includes experience commercialising and manufacturing innovative technologies. Mr. Rose has held non-executive directorships of Incitec Limited, CRC for Environmental Biotechnology and Qenos Pty Ltd. He has also held senior management positions at Orica Australia, including General Manager - Technology. He has a B.Sc with a major in chemistry from Monash University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr. Rose joined the Board in July 2009.
Janine Hoey - Non-Executive Director
Ms. Hoey is currently General Manager Group Operations and Commercial of Pacific Hydro Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne. She is responsible for the management and optimization of the Company's key revenue, operating, cost drivers, health, safety, and sustainability. Ms. Hoey is a Non Executive Director of Ecogen Holdings Pty Ltd which owns and operates 960MW of gas electricity generation at Newport in Melbourne and Jeeralang in the La Trobe Valley. Ms. Hoey was also the General Manager Latin America for Pacific Hydro for four years, responsible for Pacific Hydro's entry into the Brazil market. Prior to joining Pacific Hydro Ltd, she held a number of executive finance positions with Qantas for over 10 years. Ms. Hoey holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Dr. Roman Dudenhausen - Non-Executive Director
Dr. Dudenhausen is CEO and co-founder of con|energy AG, a leading independent service provider to the German energy industry. Since 1996, con|energy AG has advised and built up long term partnerships with over 500 energy utilities and other customers in the energy sector. con|energy provides services including strategic and management consulting, mergers & acquisitions, marketing and training courses. Dr. Dudenhausen completed his doctorate in 2000 at the University GHS Essen with his thesis "Risk Management in the Liberalised Energy Market". He is widely recognized as an energy expert for companies, associations, and governments and has had numerous articles published in national and international journals on the subjects of energy and mobility.
